Your season,
finally organized.

PRODUCTION PLANNING MADE EASY

Seam Allowance replaces the spreadsheets and sticky notes that indie brands use to run production — bringing styles, fabrics, costs, and orders into one professional platform.

Smarter planning, more efficient production, and professional purchase orders all in one place (and it’s not a spreadsheet).

DOES THIS SOUND FAMILIAR?

Your production season is spread across a dozen files

Independent brands do the same work as big fashion houses — managing styles, suppliers, fabrics, costs, and production orders across an entire season. The difference is that big brands have software built for this. Most indie brands are doing it across a tangle of spreadsheets and email threads, and one price change can unravel the whole thing.

Spreadsheet Chaos

Five versions of the same cost sheet. Nobody knows which one is current.

Surprise Stockouts

Running out of brand tags mid-production because nothing tracked inventory.

Manual Yardage Math

Calculating fabric requirements by hand for every colourway, every season.

Disorganized production orders

Conflicting versions of the same PO floating around, causing costly errors and looking unprofessional..

One workspace for your clothing production

All your styles, fabrics, costs, and orders — connected in one place. No more hunting through tabs to find the right version of a file. Update a fabric price, a cut-and-sew cost, or a yield, and every calculation across your season updates with it. Your margins are always current, your fabric orders are always accurate, and your factory gets one clean, final document — not the fourth version of a spreadsheet.

Everything your season needs, nothing it doesn't

Built around how indie clothing production actually works — not a watered-down version of enterprise software that costs a fortune and has fifty features you'll never touch.

  • Style and fabric libraries

Build a permanent library of your styles and fabrics. Store yield, cut-and-sew cost, retail price, and supplier details — reused across every season. Update your fabric inventory in real-time.

  • Branded production orders

You’re part of the process. We keep communication open and decisions shared—no black boxes or surprises.

  • Low-stock alerts

Never get caught mid-production without the labels or fabric you need. Set thresholds for every tag and fabric, and get alerted before you run out — not after.

  • Real cost and margin clarity

Fabric cost per piece, cut-and-sew, tag cost, total COGS, retail price, and gross margin — per style and for the whole season. Know your numbers before you commit.

Setup once. Update with ease.

Your styles, fabrics, tags, suppliers, and production orders all live in the same platform. Add a new fabric, assign it to a style, and your costs update. Submit a production order and your tag inventory depletes automatically. Every part of your season is connected — so nothing falls through the cracks.

1

Build your libraries

Add your styles, fabrics, tags, and suppliers. Set costs, yields, and contact details. A one-time setup that grows with your brand.

2

Create a season project

Name the season, assign your production partner, and set your target delivery date. Pull styles from your library to start planning.

3

Plan your fabric order

Enter unit counts per colourway. The app builds your fabric order summary — yardage, rolls, and estimated cost — ready to send to your mill.

4

Submit your production PO

Enter your size run, review costs and margins, and submit. A branded PDF goes to your factory and inventory updates automatically.

5

Add, update, repeat

New fabric order? Log it. New style added mid-season? Pull it in. Everything stays connected and up to date as your season evolves.

I built the tool I wish I'd had the first time.

What started as a passion project grew into full-scale production faster than I expected, and my spreadsheets couldn't keep up. I didn't have real clarity on my profit margins — and I didn't always see how small decisions were quietly eating into them. Inefficient fabric orders. Wasted yardage from poor yield tracking. Production paused because I'd run out of size tags and hadn't noticed until it was too late. The chaos wasn't dramatic. It was just constant, and it added up.

When I decided to start a new clothing line, I knew I needed to do things differently. I looked for a tool built around how indie apparel production actually works — and I couldn't find one. So I built it.

The part I'm most excited about: I'm using Seam Allowance right alongside the brands who sign up. This isn't a tool I built and handed off. I'm in it, running my own season, and I want to hear what's working and what isn't. We're building this together.
